Acoustic guitars have a sound given by the wood, metal and the polymer materials from which they are made. The materials and construction can be modified to get the true sound you are wanting to hear. Changing the strings, the nut, or the bridge may be helpful. Changing the thickness of the struts on the sound board. Changing the scratch plate or painting on the sound board has an effect. Or get a different guitar. These are just suggestions, you may come up with other ways to modify your sound. The point is: to get the sound you need to hear when you need it.
